Well most people here complain about the TV anyway, so what does it matter? According to these boards most dont watch the "awful sprint tv"
I do watch the TV and I find it to be perfectly viewable on my phone. More importantly, when listening to the radio (a passive activity) you will often miss the message and only become aware of it when the radio stops playing. Really annoying!

Right I can understand that but as I mentioned earlier this doesn't seem to be something thats affecting the majority of Instinct owners phones.  I'm not going to assume its part of MR5 either. If so, then how do you already have it when the new software hasn't been released. Maybe Sprint has targeted those who use a lot of bandwith.

Oh I definitely believe they have initially targeted certain users (I don't believe it was based on bandwidth because I rarely use 1 GB) but I just don't see the rationale on an UNLIMITED plan. As another poster stated, this is on the way for everyone, if not tomorrow, within the next few weeks.  It's ok though, I expect nothing less from Sprint and I cannot get a better deal with any other company so I will just keep hitting ok.

I called sprint the other day. THey told me I needed to update my SprintTV software, as they were not getting the same thing on their phone(s). I have version 3.0.3 of the software and they told me they've got ver 3.0.5. I was unable to get it upgraded by entering/exiting the program, so SPrint says they will push the upgrade to me. I'll see what happens and reply in a few days with whether or not it worked...

Awesome to hear that you got an answer that I have not heard and that someone at Sprint attempted to replicate the problem. You got a lot farther than I did in 5 calls and one visit to the store. If in fact it is a version issue, will this have an impact on the Radio situation as well?  I can't wait to hear the outcome. Thanks  Undecided

One other quick note. The girl I spoke with said in 3-5 days someone would contact me for further instructions/info. As of right now, my version is still 3.031, so no upgrade has been pushed out yet... FYI the girl I talked to from tech support was EXTREMELY helpful. We spent almost an hour on the phone discussing the issue and trying things out before ending up where we are now. She has personally called me and emailed me back and forth to check on this as well as a couple other issues I had when I first signed up for service. Her name is Catherine (Katie), if anyone is interested. 866-289-8892. She's done a very thorough job, in my opinion... Will keep you guys posted.

Oh and and one more thing  - they actually listened to the exact radio station I was listening to in trying to duplicate the problem... Stay tuned.

I have updated to the newest version of Sprint TV and I have been listening to the radio for 9 minutes and I have not had to confirm that I am still listening. If this update removed the annoying message, my contempt for Sprint will return to simple indifference.

I thank my lucky stars for this forum each and everyday and I wonder if I would have stuck with previous phones longer if I had visited the associated forums. Hmmmm......

I have also installed the update and it seems to work beautifully. I had the phone sitting there, streaming radio for probably 20 minutes with NO problems. THANK YOU galex/modelck for posting links to this update!!! This forum has been a HUGE help with several things, glad I'm a part of it.

I watched all of Talledaga Nights and didnt get any message. New TV rocks, first time i watched it more than 5 minutes without being annoyed or kicked off.

Well whats weird is that it always happened to me prior to the MR-5 release. With the power cord or usb plugged in. Be it Sprint Radio or Sprint TV. Now it doesnt happen when I have my USB cord plugged in. I dont know about the power cord cause I havent tried it yet. I hate that message so much cause I always listen to the House or Up All Night radio stations and those tracks are long.

Edit: Nevermind. The latest sprint tv update seems to fix it for the Radio. I still get it on the TV when watching CNN or something.

I never had gotten that problem... Sprint limiting bandwidth...? Doesn't happen to me. I have the 900 Everything Data Plan, I used over a 2,354,120 KB of power vision data or (2.2GB) thats alot =D lol but yeah. Never had gotten that problem...
