For some reason every channel is giving me the "Temporarily unavailable error."  Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Ok, it's the day before thanksgiving, on our way to Pittsburgh from Toledo on the turnpike. My phone has no hacks and getting great signal strength. Volume is all over the place when changing stations, some stations don't even come in at all.  Cnn is unwatchable, not a solid green screen but pixalated green screen. Most stations have pixilation and ghosting to one level or another. It would be nice if all the stations had a set picture size, some are very small and our screen when filled looks nice(like sideloaded movies). If other Sprint phones have TV that looks great then I really feel cheated. I don't know how much our imput helps, it seems to me that Sprint stores are all over the country and they should have enough phones to check into this on there own. I don't mind giving them my experiences but come on, they act like an ostrich sticking it's head in the ground.

What hacks/mods do you all have done? I've done the MMG/IP and Buffer Length and nearly every live channel (including abc mobile) looks pretty close to perfect.

Not that it's worth watching, but MTV mobile looks best. I hold the phone about a foot away from my face and it's as clear as sideloaded movies. Anyone know why TV quality has changed so much over the past week? Good, bad, good, bad, total sh!t, amazingly clear...?

Personaly Idon't feel we should need/have to hack into our phone to make it work properly. I'm not a computer wiz, and if these hacks work so well and don't mess with another part of the phones capabilities then sprint should make these adjustments themselves. I don't have a pile of money to get another phone if I bricked it.

Ah yes, phatchef...hypothetically speaking, we shouldn't have to hack our phones to get them to do...basically what we were told they could do already, but we do.

If you are worried about bricking your phone, search for "unbricking"...hehe. Kidding. All of the mods that have been posted and discussed in depth are 100% safe. I've now done them twice. Just make sure you research and follow instructions exactly and you'll be well on your way to enjoying your phone as it should be.

Like anything else, if you're worried, back up the information you've changed. Good luck!

I personally don't think the update did anything as far as TV quality.  I think sprint can't figure out how to optimize it for the instinct.  My girl's LG Lotus looks perfect, every time I have watched on it. And sometimes on my instinct it looks worse with the mmg hack than without it.

I reverted back to the original settings for MMG/IP entries.  With its original settings, my TV has been the best I've ever seen it.  Yesterday, I browsed several live channels and even watched over 10 minutes of nearly perfect TV picture on CNN Live.  TV was stable and there was no pixelation or drops or freezes.

Two more days and they might have it...I hope so...overall, looks better....but I did change my buffer back to 20 for now...I'll change back before the update.

Since I don't use the TV app much, I can notice the difference every time I use it.  The simple fact I was able to watch 10 uninterrupted minutes of CNN was a true revelation.  Hallelujah!  LOL
