I've had my phone a couple days just got around to trying out the TV and radio, when going into the tv section I'll click on all stations and the little circle thing which I guess is the loading icon pops up but nothing ever loads, same with the radio. I've tried waiting upto a few minutes for it to load, have to keep touching the screen to keep it from going into hibernation. Am I missing some sort of other application I need to download to the phone or is something wrong with my phone?

You need to make sure that you're in an area that offers EV-DO Rev A data speeds. If you're not in an area that offers Sprint's High-Speed data services, then its going to be stupidly slow and probably lag the video - if it starts at all.

If you ARE in an High Speed area (you can check by going to Sprint.com and clicking on "Coverage") and you STILL can't access the TV or Radio features, then you'll need to contact Customer Care.

first and foremost, go to settings and change display to not go into hibernation w/o pressing lock button (unless you have a problem with pocket dialing).

I also have the problem some times, but I have found the trick to if its not responding is to load the web browser and let the home page load.  the exit that immediately load the TV and it seems to make it work all the time.

if your in a good service area, if that doesn't work try taking the battery out and leave it out for about 1-2 min place the battery back in and start it back up

I'm having the same issues with my phone. I get an error message that gives a java media exception failure. My Sprint TV worked before, but now nothing. I've tried taking the battery out and still no TV.

Have you tried updating your data profile?

If not then go to Main : Settings : General : "Update Data Profile"

Let me know if it works

Yeah, still didn't work. Went to the Sprint store, they did a hard reset, some type of flash thing to it, and still no TV. They told me leave alone for 2 hours and then try using the TV, but now Sprint TV is down.  Embarrassed So hopefully, it'll work when the network comes back. Thanks for your help though.

I'm not sure what they did while the network was down the other day but ever since, the tv feature has worked great for me.  That was the one part of the Instinct that I never used because it would lock up my phone after 5 or 10 mins. max.  (Even more so when I would try and show off Sprint TV to my iphone friends!)  The last couple days it's been fantastic;  I actually watched a full newscast on CNN mobile!   I hope it keeps working.  (btw, web surfing seems a lot better now too)

My favorite channel is CNN Mobile and it's been down for a couple of days straight.  (I'm in Southern California)  It's been starting to work a little bit this evening but runs for about 40 seconds and then goes back to the white screen that says "Temporarily Unavailable  Servers are temporarily down for maintenance. We'll be back online shorly."
