Are you doing your Calibrate with the Stylus or your finger.  I think the stylus gives best results but it is your finger you use during use so try it both ways and see what gives you the best results

Agree with ImNoPrince.  When I first got my phone, I remember having some touch feedback issues.  Someone somewhere on this forum had suggested using the stylus for calibration. I did that, and it has basically been perfect ever since. That was probably the only time I have actually used the stylus too!  Smiley

Just a suggestion. Touch feedback is a lot more laggy if your battery is even remotely close to low. I had a similar problem not only using the phone but trying to do the calibration when the phone had a low battery. Charge the phone fully to 100% and then give the calibration a whirl. I have yet to use the stylus. My finger seems to do the trick. All you need is a steady hand and some patience.

Is this post still active? I have had my Instinct since March of 09 and in the last two weeks I have had nothing but trouble with the touch screen. I stopped using the stylus about three months ago after I got a new ruber skin protector for the phone. I did not have any problems navigating with my fingers. When the screen started acting up I found my stylus and tried to recalibrate but the center and botom of the screen are almost non-responsive and I can't adjust the sensitivity.

Sounds like you need to make a trip to the Sprint store.  Maybe they'll swap it out for you.
