I may have overlooked something, but does Instinct have predictive text T9?  I really text a lot and wish the device had word predictive text T9.  Does anyone know if there is a way to put this app. on the Instinct?

Why would need T9 with a full QWERTY keyboard and a full alpha pad when not in landscape mode?

cuz i'm lazy and can't spell.  sorry:(  it's just so much easier texting when the phone completes yours words and guesses your next word.  i know, the keyboard is nice, but i really do text a lot and i'm used to the t9 option.  if anyone knows of a way to put this on the phone, it would really help me out a lot.  thanks!

actually if you don't know how to spell, and that is the only reason you are looking for the t9 auto fill feature. Instinct has ya covered. if you just start typing your words and you misspell a word, you will notice, that it turns red.  all you have to do is touch the red word, and it will come up with the possible words you were trying to spell.  excellent spell check feature.

... and if you are really that lazy, you can turn auto correct on and you don't even have to touch the misspelled words!

Is there a way to turn this on permanently?  I hit it one time and then the next time I was in messaging I had to turn it back on.  Kind of pointless when you are sending a couple of texts a minute and they are short to turn this on every time...

Uhh...so I don't have to freaking type every single letter, that's why.

I'm coming from a Motorola Q where I used t9...and it was a great learning t9 at that.

Hey guys, just ordered the instinct, which should be here next week.  My question, well the subject basically says it all, is there any application out that resembles or adds a keyboard with t9.  Even a dialer keypad for texting.  I have an HTC TOUCH Shocked Grin Grin and have gotten used to the dialer keypad.  Thanks for yalls help and hope the instinct wont let me down.  If so, it will become my back-up phone to my APP'd out touch lol

There's no dialer keypad for texting.  Only "qwerty" landscape, alphabetical portrait and hand recognition.

you know...to be very honest, i was a little worried about the nonT9 capabilities of the phone, but when I got it into my hands, I realized that the transition to the QWERTY keyboard is not a difficult one to make...

I actually prefer the QWERTY to the T9, I text faster and can make longer texts with greater ease.

and for fun, I have actually played with the writing with the stylus.... which blew me away... I found that not only does it recognize the average Print...it recognizes my variant of print and cursive.... with very little error.

so the lack of T9 doesn't bother me  at all with these other options for text input
