Test codes worked well, one's at my job (Johnsonville) wouldn't. Nice idea, but until it's fully implemented...fairly useless.

I saw one of those codes on a can of pringles, I took scans of it at least 6 times, wouldn't work.  So far this app doesn't seem useful.

Worked for me. Seems like you have to have the policy hack done to get it working. And the bar codes the the people asking are suppose to be on like Ads and magazine things like that, I also guess they hope to get the bar-codes on items in stores, read the info on there site there is a video that tells you info on it.

Thanks for the app.

I am a little confused at what good this will do.   If you have the product in hand then you can read on the label and if you are reading an advert on it then still you have the information at hand within the advert.

I agree about a barcode reader,  that would be a lot of use.

You don't need the hack, it works fine without it.

But aren't most apps useless anyway?€ Thats why I never join the Instinct needs apps bandwagon, most apps are just that, useless.

I guess their hope is that as more people download the app and have phones that are capatible.  Avdertisers will see it as yet another way of reaching consumers with info and may start supporting it.  So downloading it will probably give them the talking point of "x" number of people currently have the app on their phone.  Who knows it might take off but as of now its use is very limited.

my problem is i got it to scan the codes on the webpage easily, but can't scan codes on anything else. the image is too blurry. without a way to adjust focus, its completly useless.

I haven't had any problems getting it to work.  I did learn that you are better off being slightly farther away from the barcode than you are being up close to it.
