I think the iPhone has the potential for some killer apps with its SDK, is Spring and Samsung planning on having an SDK for the instinct?

I know its based on Brew, I was just wondering to what extent the Instinct will have even a more robust API

http://developer.sprint.com - No SDK specific to Nerva......yet

Every Sprint device comes with Java ME and I would think they put a robust environment in there.

What external applications will the Instinct support? Is it going to be an open platform?

The platform is BREW with Java applications running on the device; “absolutely an open platform,” Owens said. He added that the Instinct SDK will be out soon if it’s not already. Sprint wants people to develop all kinds of apps for it.

go read it for yourself http://www.equitygroups.com/nasd/immr/messages/138285.html
