But I guess it depends on the quantity, quality and diversity of the updates and apps we get. Who knows, maybe the Instinct/Sprint CAN compete with Apple

Have you seen the sh!t their passing out for free at the iTunes App Store?  A "flashlight" app, a "Motion Detector Alarm" app, ugly UI plastered with affiliate shopping links...

There are a few gems, but by and far taking a stroll through the App Store is like taking a stroll through a dog park.  You might find a nice person or dog if you're lucky, but if like most you're not, you'll just end with shoes that stink.

I'd be happy with 1) a better browser (Opera); 2) NewsGator Go! support for RSS; 3) Pandora; and 4) IM -  but I'm going to be greedy here and hope for native so it can be always on for IM reception and alert like email/SMS and not just when the app is active.

So what if the iphone got a huge fan base. f those fages (no disrespect to any gays) their trend followers, while I and other Instinct owners and fans did research and found the Instinct is the best phone for us and the iphones not. I like looking down at people with the iphone and even more to those with the old one, i dont care if we dont have an apps store cuz their the ones who need it(camera with no video camera or no pic sending) BUT want till we get an apps store then what will they say.

PLUS my instinct is so fast online, no wonder IPhone (ifanboys) love their wifi. Cheesy Grin Cheesy that was funny
OH and by the way AT&T sux so hard that if you put a husk next to it, it'll suck the corn right off the cob.

Everyone is a "trend follower" in one way or another. Plus the Instinct NEEDS an app store to even compete. There isn't enough with the bare bones Instinct. Then again once the keyboard issue gets fixed we'll see some apps. And why do people only bring up that iPhone can't do pic sending or record video, is that all you can think of that the Instinct can do that the iPhone can't? Oh wait, turn-by-turn GPS, but they'll most likely have that soon too.

So much hate between the two. Plus you're on a forum for the Instinct, do you really think many iPhone "fanboys" come here? So why the anti-iPhone comments?

-iVANHO-
or should i say I-FAN-HOE
HAHAHAHAH -dont talk for the rest of us you might be a trend follower, I preordered this phone before they even had ads out for it.
while if you want to compare apples to apples, you cant cuz the iphones been out a year, sh#t their on the second one.
And for the turn by turn GPS, yes they are getting it but it wont talk to you so that sux. no TV (and My tv is f-en great)
i was just pointing out the features that any phone in 2000 should have pix sending and video atleast.
but if you really want to know what the differences are between the two look at Instinct Kills It - Full Iphone Comparison and other forums. im trying to stay on topic.
And i dont really ever have a problem with the keyboard.

PS AT&T sux like a football through a garden hose

I actually have an Instinct. =P Never owned an Apple product, unless you cound Quicktime that was installed on my comp for a short time. I enjoy my Instinct (I even convinced my fiance to get one), but I believe so much more could be done with it, and who knows, maybe I'll take up learning java once the keyboard issue is fixed.

It's just really anoying seeing a bunch of people ripping on a product saying that it offers less than the Instinct, but in reality it offers so much more (with the app store). I would love to get apps like twitterific and the like.

All in all I like my Instinct, it works great as an MP3 player and of course a phone. The texting on it is great also, there are just a couple apps that would make it better to me.

I've never had a use for the GPS, but if I really needed it the voice on it would be good, so you do have a point there. The bad part is I'd have to turn down my music Sad. I haven't really had a use for the tv part, sure adult swim and CNN on it are great, but it might as well be just audio and no video, at least for cnn...the screen is a little on the small side for tv use.

I agree that all phones should have pic sending, I never use the  camcorder part, but I'm sure it would be useful sometimes. Plus I can't send pics to people on other carriers (known issue?).

The problems with the keyboard are really just no typing in third-party apps, as in it doesn't work.

I agree with AT&T not being very good, their price alone turns me away, then again I have a 23% discount with Sprint.

Thanks for not turning this into a flame war Smiley It actually shows that there actually are people on the internet can disagree/have a discussion/half-way argue? about something and not be childish about it.

while put.
OK im feeling what your saying now but have you visited the apps store its nothing but fluff.
And again the Iphone when it came out didnt have an app store so give the instinct and us fans some time, thats all, start complaining atleast six months after the instinct came out. Tongue
And if your still having problems with the TV try boosting your internet speed cuz i did and it made the world of difference. i believe i have and had no problem sending pics or video to other carriers :\
I bought a GPS holder and put my instinct in it now i have the GPS when i need it or cartoon network to entertain my son on trips and i didnt buy a bluetooth head unit but instead a FM transmitter. I love this phone

oh and sorry for the I-fan-ho comment but come on thats kinda funny

The dog park comment was priceless, lol. I have to agree, there's a lot of crap out there for the iphone in that store. Hopefully as software development nears an end, we'll see some great stuff for our phones as well.
