Instinct users ... let's put our collective heads together and get a list of apps that work and those that don't now that the MR4 update has happened.

Centsible - Expense Tracker

Instinct IM Client - Does what is says and says what it does. Great IM App that works in the background and sends you text messages to let you know you have an IM.  Great app!
• On your phone got to SHOPPING > APPLICATIONS > CHAT & MESSAGING > IM & EMAIL > INSTANT MESSAGING > SELECT DOWNLOAD
• You can also log in to your online Sprint Account and download it from the the DIGITAL LOUNGE > APPLICATIONS > COMMUNICATION > CHAT & MESSAGING > INSTANT MESSAGING (if you can't find it this way, just type "Instant Messaging" into the search bar and it should come up)

MLedger - (Mobile Ledger) is a simple Java midlet that is designed to keep track of your bank accounts. Runs, uses new keyboard...but when you try to add a debit or credit the number dialer only comes up, so no decimal point -_-

MobiMoon - a JavaME mobile application that displays Moon phase and Hijri date. Runs using the new keyboard and arrows. - 3281944

Odysseus - a J2ME application for mobile devices that manages checklists, like shopping lists or 'todo' lists. The lists are organized in folders. For each list item the user can store a name, notes, and a 'done' flag. Export as text is supported, e.g. to send a list as an SMS. It should run on most Java-enabled phones since it does not use device-specific features. Runs using the new keyboard and arrows. - 3282008



I did not find all of these apps and do not take any credit for doing so.  I give forum member J.T. the credit for starting the list and whoever else who has contributed. I am just organizing them here at the beginning of the thread so hopefully it will make some peoples lives easier.

financial calculator - only 20 uses - gives you armortization
nitro street racing - game racing game kinda hard to steer
par 72 golf II - game - complete golf game
repeat - game - simon says clone. very addictive
sl jacks or better - game - slot machine game
gympod - only 20 uses - app. input workout routine. i did go into it much

I was so disappointed when Palringo kept giving me the "Uncaught Exception".

I'm finding the Dictionary 2.7 working reallly well. Looking for more at this point.

It is pretty glitchy but it works. I've been able to add MSN/GTalk/AIM/YAHOO! and Skype.

There is a translator on Phoload that seems to work.  I haven't encountered any problems yet.  It's called JLearnItMe.  On your phone, go here:

nimbuzz works for aim im on it right now but no alerts when u have an im but other than that it works great

I had yahoo working on nimbuzz last night, but when i logged on this morning it didn't connect with yahoo or MSN.  AIM and GTalk were the only ones.

no alerts and i can't look at other things on my phone without exiting.
