Hey all,

I really want to get this phone, but I know right now you can't view .pdf documents.  That is sort of a deal breaker for me.  Does anyone know if .pdf capability will be added or updated at some point?  Or if Adobe will create a 3rd pary app for the phone?

I searched around but couldn't find the answer to these questions.

Thanks.

I also asked about this in the 3rd Party apps forum, but thought maybe my non-instinct owner doubts could be assuaged here.

Thanks.

Short answer: Yes.  Many phones have a pdf reader that can scroll around so that you aren't looking at an incredibly small document.

this would be nice for me too seeing as my car manuals are all pdf's that I have uploaded to a website (easier to search for things).  it would be nice to be able to set the phone in the garage with the pdf up for reference....

This is a around a way work around for PDf files. I open my pdf oon PC then save as jpg, then create a folder in DCIM to upload pics to.

I know its not the most idealistic method but its the only one I came up with for now.

Listen all you have to do if you need to see pdf, execel, and word, log into google and go to google docs, upload and save the file then you can bring it up on your instinct, only thing is you wont be able to edit it. Grin

Google docs will not help if you are trying to view PDF or PPT files. It only will support DOC and somewhat XLS. For Excel you will only be able to vie one column ant a time  Shocked

I just realized you maybe right i havent tried pdf, but for excel file you have to change the browser to desktop verision and after you open the file, choose the desktop view at the bottom of the google docs page which will allow you to view the whole excel file not just cell by cell. Still pretty sweet, right. Best way to get around not having any word programs.
