Just for kicks, I re-downloaded the Pandora APP from the Sprint website (TXT link to my Instinct M800 phone).  The user interface is completely new, different, and much more user friendly!  The new version shows up as 2.0.0.  Any comments on this?

I used it for about 1 hour - It sucked the battery down to about 70%.

Can you extract the jar/jad files and post them and I will check it out. I bet it won't because I think that our issue is permissions that were changed when they fixed the battery issue.

Has anybody noticed any differences in the audio volume?  I rarely used Pandora before because of the low volume issue; So I don't really know if there is a difference.  It still seems rather low to me.

nice.  and yes, volume is a bit improved, though the max volume in Pandora is comparable to about level 4 in the native player with the same song (whereas it was like 2 before).  still, i'd say it's a significant improvement.  thanks for the tip.  now i'll go express my appreciation to Pandora.

EDIT: though i will say that the lock feature is kinda important for using the app on the go, even if it's a fake lock (like the previous version of Pandora, which didn't really turn off the display, but instead just painted the whole screen black).

I think the volume is Perfect..any louder and distortion is likely to happen...
But I've had 3 of these phones, volume was different on all three devices.....
Results will vary....
Testing run time results now....not being able to shut off the screen worries me....
Using both batteries for a estimate...not looking good, we'll see though....
Looks as good as any Pandora app as I've seen on other devices....just glad the O.P. gave the heads up....I was expecting a prompt to upgrade....

Can't bluetooth...was hoping this would have been added
The sound is more fluid..no more low and high audio...that helps

My results....yours may vary:
1 hour and 10 minutes I got timed out
both batteries were at 40%
Not sure if it stopped because that's usually where powersave bugs you,
but it played good the whole time then it just stops..
Restarting the app averaged another 20 minutes....
So....1hr 30 min. ( remember, it's calling for data the entire time, battery killer )
With the improvements, I can dig the new Pandora Cheesy
Just wish we could shut the screen down, would benefit from less battery consumption

I tried the new one on the HD but it doesn't look like it will work.  All I get is a spinner (in front of the Pandora splash screen), then a white screen, then it exits.

Check it out, I'm sure this has already been done, so I apologize if this post is a repeat.

I did find a mickey-mouse kind of way to make it work (loudly) with my car stereo AUX input.  I bought a $3.00 1/8" headphone mono (male) to 1/8" headphone stereo (female) adapter at Radio Shack and connected it to the headphone jack on the phone.  I then connected the audio cable from the adapter to my aux input for my stereo.  Of course the volume is too low, even with the volume control maxed out.  Next, I very slowly pulled the adapter plug from the phone (about 1/2 way out).  You may have to adjust it until you hear something from the stereo speakers.  You will actually hear the sound coming from the phone as well as the stereo.  It's not stereo sound, but is very loud and decent quality.  I guess it will have to do for now.
