Just went and it didn't offer a version for my M800.  Doesn't look like they have a version written for Java, just OM and Symbian (?)...

Go to m.opera.com/next to download it for the instinct (at least the s30) it's incredibly better than opera mini, which is so much better than the native browser.  I suggest everyone at least try it.

LOL

Goofy, this IS Opera Mini, not Mobile.  All of the Opera Mobile 10 downloads are for Symbian, WinMo, and for BB...  unless I'm missing something which is completely possible...  I've got the M800, though.  Maybe different for the M810?

Heh, this is what I get for trying to type quickly before off to my next destination.

What I meant to say was this:
Opera Mobile 10 won't work on the instinct.

But Opera Mini 5 beta 2 is out at the link I posted.  It works on the instinct, at least the s30, and it is awesome.  Tabbed browsing, faster page loads, saved passwords, a speed dial page ala google chrome's home page,  etc.  Leaps and bounds beyond the version of Mini that comes with the instinct/sprint store.

Download it and you won't go back.

...multiple tabs isn't worthwhile because ur first tab gets zapped and u still have to reload the previous page. my bro has the same problems on his at&t view. im hopeful, tho. love the look.

Opera mobile 10....hmmm...let me put this a baldly as I can-
It does not exist for your phones, and never will. The Nokia 900
will run it, but that phone is more like a computer that just happens
to make calls. The Nexus, Hero, iphone, whatever, just haven't
the horsepower to even cope.

On top of it, Sprint's network is like a 1890's Lousiana style prostitute.

Good luck, boys!

Instinct HD

« Reply #8 on: February 07, 2010, 03:01:24 PM »

Bottom line is Opera Mobile won't run on the M800 nor the M810...unless they go and make it specific for the Instinct, not going to happen. Uses too much memory.

The M850 is a whole other beast, and the Opera team made Opera 9.5 Brew compatible for the Instinct HD, and now Opera Mobile 9.7.  I've a feeling we won't get Opera Mobile 10 until it's out of beta, which is good news for us actually ( lot's of problems w/10 beta )....I also run into memory issues keeping 5 tabs open.

Here's the link for answers concerning Opera Mobile
