Can someone explain to me why everyone seems to want google maps?
I understand, google is a deity of information technology world (Smiley), but navigation software that comes with instinct is awesome.
Am I missing something?
Ya but google maps has satellite view which is supremely awesome

"Samsung has been promising some updates for the Instinct and hopefully this should alleviate the issue and you'll all be able to use a touch enabled version.

Thanks,

Isn't this just the normal thing that sprint hopes to offer a fix for the onscreen keyboard? Not google maps specifically.

What will Google Maps offer that we don't already have with the Instinct's Navigation application?  I've used Google Maps before several times but am just drawing a blank as to its advantage and why so many people are eager to have it on the Instinct.  What am I missing?

I agree this is more of a Hope for all other Apps needing the Keyboard interface then it is just for GoogleMaps.

You know what would be cool? In a perfect world, Google and Sprint would work to put satellite view in the built in navigation. That would be so cool.

I can dream can't I?

Google's search for local listings seems to work better than Live search. That's just my opinion...

If you spell something incorrect when the voice recognition feature fails, live search is will return junk or nothing.

Yes, satellite view is a plus.

Anyway, I thought the information would make you guys happy that Google is speaking up. It's also nice to have another application to do map searches.
