I have downloaded the new version of google maps v. 2.3.2.  After installing, loading, and accepting the terms of use I am presented with a Street View ad that tells about the new feature but I cannot get this ad to go away.  Does anyone have any idea what this is about?

Still having a problem with google maps.  It brings me to a "local search" page.  No option to download anything....

Ok. I've done some searching and finally found a working Google Maps .jar file.

Open wap.GetJar.com with your mobile -> Quick Download -> enter Quick Download Code 36398

The file is JAR file (gmaps-220-m2_ts_L1.jar) Size: 464.18 Kb

I am totally taking a guess at this...but, I would imagine we can't get pass the street view ad screen because we don't have an "ok" key...I think they need to make it so they voice command button or the camera pulls up the keyboard or something then we could get pass this I believe.

Cool, worked fine here.  The location didn't pick up, it started me in California.  Pretty neat though.  I also really love the live search feature built into the instinct, but this does some neat things.  And at this point, any new (working) app is good Smiley

A work around for that is to add a favorite (Menu > Favorites) so that you can quickly go to your home location.

Works great now and the satellite view works great too.  Now only if we could slew the GPS to the map....I tried(beta) but it said this feature is not avail on this device.  Hopefully that will change.
