google maps not working

Im really frustrated. I have downloaded about 10 types of this app and i can't get it to work. The map part works but if I go to search there is no keys or anything. Im in Canada with bell. Wolud this be why. If so how can I fix this.

Canadian versions of the instinct do not have the lcdui fix necessary to bring up the keyboard. Please, use the search button or go to the Canadian section of the forum and read.
