Can't Accept the Google maps user agreement

I downloaded the Google maps application and i can't accept the user agreement, i keep pressing accept and it never works. I searched the threads and it said to switch your phone into mobile mode then to download but when i do that it says its not avaliable for my phone. Anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Go to wap.getjar.com from your phones browser
Click "quick download"
Enter in 36398 and click "download"

Let me know if this works

Worked for a bit but now i get an error message when i load it up saying : Need Network access, sorry for troubling you but do you know how i grant the application access?

Go to your fun tab and click games/apps.

Go to where it says "google maps" and click the arrow next to it.

Click Settings then click permissions.

Click on Network and then choose "Always allow"
