The instinct pops that up anytime an application asks for input from a keyboard. That allows it to work with many (but not all) apps that don't directly support the touch screen keyboard.

Anytime I need a keyboard, my instinct opens up one for me. I can't be the only person to have this problem.

ya but it sucks. the flash for youtube wont work. the tabbed browser crashes when i have two tabs. its like when one thing comes from another browser bolt is their to mimic them.
