The instinct you have must have been flashed before the virtual keyboard update(over a year ago) does the keyboard show up when you use Opera?

I only get keyboard on the Opera beta version that has a built in keyboard.
Yup, my phone must be missing the update.

I have tried 3 browsers now, and still youtube will not play.
Is this also because of a missing update?

Is there any download for YouTube.
I have tried Google apps (says will not work for this phone, or something like that)

I get this same message with Bolt, Opera and the Default browser.

Media Player Error: unable to play.javax.microedition.media.MediaException: start failed

Maybe a media player error means the media player itself is corrupted.  Are you willing to try a reset?  If so, use "mobile sync" to have your settings saved.

Doing that solved a few different problems for my phone here and there over the past several months of owning it.

Does the reset button erase everything?

My phone is flashed.....I wonder if it will change flash settings for the internet?

I would be careful resetting....if you choose to i would back up all your settings with QPST, just incase it kills your flash.

It should not be blank. There should be a form field box at the top with www. already entered. Tap the box and the Instinct text editor should open.

If it is totally blank then something is wrong and you may want to uninstall then try installing again.

There is a white box that has Enter URL written in it, then www. below, but I can't type anything anywhere.

In the black box, hit the tiny T with a box around it (lower left). That brings up the keyboard. Type the URL then hit Done. You are back on the black box with the URL at the top. Now hit OK inside white box. Browser will start loading the URL.

I guess that's where I'm stuck. I dont have a a small t at the bottom of that screen. It's all black below the Enter URL. Nothing I can type, although |I can use the back arrow on the instinct m800 to remove the www.

The black box is a standard Instinct M800 box. Maybe you have one of the newer Instinct models? So sorry I can't be of more help.

How do I access that black box without opening Bolt? I also noticed that when I got a similar box with enter text, instead of enter URL too.
