All you guys are awesome! I have been reading this forum for several months and joined a few weeks ago. i have never had much input as far as how things were going, but have learned so much from everything I have read! The app store is fantastic and I appreciate everyone's hard work!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but there ate certain features of the phone that developers won't be able to access without sprint approval, right? what would you guys have to do to get approval? i'd like to support your cause...

i feel pretty pessimistic about Sprint changing any policies.  in order to get the cool features, you need a signed app.  to get signed you have to pay like $3,000 and get accepted into sprint's ADP program.

It's only $5000 to get into the "program" (if they accept you) plus additional fees for testing each app.  At least Will, one of the admins at buzzaboutwireless, is trying to get the Instinct "opened" up to third-party developers, and I wish him luck.  It would give us access to a lot more interesting features, and even ones we really should have now like decent audio playback.

I can't speak for the other developers, but I'm planning on making any of my improved apps that are "for pay" available to the 7 generous folks that donated before the new site was created.
