A number of developers have gotten together to fill the void and created an application store for Instinct handsets.  So far we only have free and demo apps available but will be selling upgraded applications shortly.

A DIY app store? Brilliant! +1 for our intrepid application developers. I'm especially appreciative of the fact the you all provide us with a means to have the things we want out of our phone, that the carriers and manufacturer neglected to provide. I look forward to seeing this progress.

Indeed, you are correct.  Basically it's a way to find the Instinct-specific apps all in one place, and it gives current developers more control over their apps plus the ability to charge a fair price to fund further development.  It's also a home for new developers to demo and sell their apps, AND an automated deployment tool to end the stream of "how do I get this on my phone?"  "Rumkin's not working"  "where is the jar file" questions.

It is certainly on the wish list, but I'm not the "wizard behind the scenes" implementing all the site features, so I can't say for sure.

i see that some (all dks apps) say free to try i asume that means the next release will come at a price any chance you guys know what that price may be if that is the case

Great job on the site. I love how easy it is to get the app on my phone. I think it took all of 30 seconds to get the text on my phone and upload the app.

I added the site to my favorites and will check it regularly.
