Sorry for those who no nothing of ORB it's like slingbox.
It's a application you can load on a PC to act as a streaming server.
You can stream Live TV from your home, Movies on your PC, Music and Photos.
You can even access files and documents from anywhere.

Great App!

Confirmed ORB does work on INSTINCT.....Be sure to set your settings correctly....3GP, streaming at least 300kbps and settings on phone display.

Thanks! this is great!!

Have you guys streamed movies?   I just did a trial..  (Entourage)  It was doing alright.. Got a little pixelation, lag going.

Anyone else ahving those issues?  My comp is set to upload at 2000 MBPS and the phone is at 320.

I had the same problem.  On the instinct, load up the orb site and login, then look for settings on the bottom and edit the display settings to that aac 3gp thing.

Orb works great with the Instinct! Smiley
Use 320kb 3gp-aac/rtsp format (.3gp)

I'm going nuts trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I have selected "3gp-aac/rtsp format (.3gp)" using my Instinct web browser.  I set my upstream on the Instinct to 320kbps.

I can access my Orb Server, see the files, even view images, but any time I try to watch a movie or listen to an mp3, the Instinct appears to begin to load it but I never get sound or picture.

I made sure to open ports

TCP 554,
UDP 13398-13402

This app looks great and it looks like others have had success.  I'm stuck.  I have 2Mbps upstream  from my PC so I should have plenty of bandwidth.  Any suggestions?

I tried streaming to another PC just to make sure it worked and I had no problem.

I just changed the settings using my instincts browser and now it works for me. Although its not good enough quality to read my english subtitles but it still works well.

EDIT - this is so awesome now i dont have to move all my video files to the instinct.

When it does work it will launch the video player application so that you can view the files. Just keep checking the settings on both your computer and the instinct browser.

I do get past the part where it launched the video player.

At the top it says "Playing External RTSP URL"

I only get the video player to launch if I select the "3gp-aac/rtsp format" so that part looks good.

I'm using the Orb 2.0 application (if that matters). I suppose my next step is to remove my router and connect directly to the net to see if that's the problem.
