Isn't that going to be bad for my computer security?

Yes... but try choosing a way to only let orb through.

Do they make a program like ORB, but does not require that you "tie" into a third party site for it to function, say a program you can download, add all your videos to it and then run your own we server for links to streams?

If I were you, I would patent the idea and get started on learning programming.

I've installed Orb and gotten it to work on my Instinct..for my files that are in the default folders that Orb scans to find music.  I haven't figured out how to manually add folders..and so only about 60 out of my 3500 songs show up.  How do I do this? Thanks. Smiley

EDIT: n/m I figured it out.  Right click on the Orb tray icon, go to "Configuration", and then click on the Media tab.

Hello I am going Nuts. I can't understand this why do I keep getting a You Requested a secure page. Secure request are temporrily disalbed massaging eveytime I click on the Log in Screen. Eveyone keeps saying that the Sprint Instinct works with Orb. What should I be doing to fix this so I can enjoy my Orb TV I use to enjoy on the Plam Smart Phone I had for a short time before I desied to break down and buy a New Instinct thinking it was better Phone. I know its a kewl phone but I am lost and confused to this.

Greetings denizens! Welcome to the all ORB thread. All posts about ORB should be included here.I make the rounds fairly regularly and corral any stragglers on this topic. So,if you want to ask, chat, whatever about ORB on the Instinct this is the place. If the thread gets big enough I'll separate it into the various services. Let's all try to keep it under one roof. Feedback? PM me.

Can someone please tell me what this means when my Instinct tells me that I get You Requested a secure page. Secure request are temporrily disalbed right after I click on Orb Log in. This happens right before I see the Log in Screen. What do I need to do so this dos not come up and allow me in to the Log in Screen?

Julie.

Here is my ORB question.  I have set up the service on my home computer and I'm having trouble streaming video/TV via orb to my Instinct.  I have it set to stream 3GP-ACC/RTSP and have played around with the rate from 320kb/s to slower custom rates.  I get the message "Playing External RTSP URL" with no picture or sound.  I'm able to stream live TV to other computers via my account, so my TV Tuner set up properly on the other end.  My connection speed is rather low varying from 250-300 kb/s, is this too slow to stream the picture?  Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this service work?

Thanks,
Pat

I had the exact same issue, and it started working correctly immediately after I did this: http://www.instinct-samsung.com/index.php/topic,1742.0.html. Could have been a coincidence, but I would definitely give it a try. You can easily get your MSL (which you need for the above) by following the directions in this post: http://www.*****.com/forums/rpost.pl?b-rt/m-1214895464/

Thanks for the reply.  I did that mod a while back.  Maybe I'll mess around with setting and re-setting to see if it makes any difference.  I have a feeling it is one of those problems that has no solution, I'll just find it working one day with no explanation.  I'll let you know if I find anything.

Thanks,
Pat

Is ORB able to stream large video files? I have full length dvds on my pc that I would like to access with ORB. Do I have to compress/convert these files to an ORB recognized format/size?
