We do not currently have an im client because of the LCDUI java keyboard issue.

For now you can either:

Send a SMS to 246-246 formatted in this way:     1 username password
The reply message will have all the info for you to read.
Or you can goto www.ebuddy.com
What I dont like about ebuddy is having to refresh the page manually to see if someone sent a message.

AIM SMS works just fine for me for now. I dont like to actively IM on my phone but its nice to be able to be reached via im if needed.

I'm still lost, i tried the ebuddy.com and i got an error page on my phone.  Can it be set up from the computer??? If so, how do i get it to transfer to my phone?  The whole SMS talk totally confused me.  Am i supposed to send a text message to the 246-246 number and then get the directions?

Sorry about that posted from my instinct and forgot the link....

http://m.ebuddy.com
Has all the popular chats...

For the AIM text message...

Send a text message exactly as I put below except obviously replace username and password with your actual username and password. NO spaces in the username....

1 username password

Send it to 246246

It will send a message back with a "menu" of commands.

All I do is login and it shows you as available on mobile to your buddies.

Only real command I ever use is "BL" for buddy list...

If you want to send a message you send a message like this:

send meme1984 Hey what's up man.... just sending you an IM

Send that to 246246

It's not the best system for ACTIVELY IM'ing like I said, but somebody can send you an IM and you can actively respond.

If somebody sends you an IM it comes up as like 246080....It will have the person's username and message. You simply reply to the text message like you would any other one and poof you're IMing.

do they charge to use the AIM texting because somebody told me they charge per message. I don't think this is true because we have unlimited texting included in our plan. So do use the AIM texting, if so have you been charged. Thanks

I went to my home page on my phone tonight where it brings up all the short cuts to CNN, ESPN,Yahoo, ect.... When I scrolled down to the bottom it said get AIM for free! For the longest time there was an ad for NFL Live. So I clicked on it and I was able to get all my AIM and Yahoo contacts and it works, I got a few messeges. It is a mobile version in the fact that is doesnt work real time so to speak, you see when someone sends you a message but it's not a chat box like it would be on your computer, but still works well.

Just thought I would post this information to anyone that has yet to get it.
