First of all, this phone is not an IPhone killer. However, the cost savings alone could afford you a new ITouch IPod every year which essentially is an Iphone without cellular service. For Canadian users it is about a $30 per month difference ($30 x 12 = $360/yr)

Secondly, for those checking web reviews about the phone....the U.S. sprint program far exceeds what is available with the Canadian Bell program...such as second battery included and visual voicemail to name a few.

Like many, I have experienced the frustration with this new phone: I can't download anything cool! Where is the apps store!? I can't even download free things such as google maps...or Opera Mini web browser. I would expect/desperatly hope that this will be resolved in future updates!!!

Also I have had the phone reboot from just simple web-browsing or using GPS!!! WTF!!

Overall I'm disappointed.  Potential yes...but as of now...not market ready.

No kidding. I bought this phone a week ago. I have been with sprint for more than 10 years. I thought that finally they had a phone that was worth something. I bought it... its crap. The built in web browser is worthless. The built in gmail app is total crap. Neither of these things would bother me if I could install functional 3rd party apps, but since the keyboard doesnt work then there is no point. I just talked to a sprint "upper level tech support" guy, and he said that there were no future plans ("next 6 months") to fix the problem, so I'm taking advantage of the 1 month grace period and getting on the iphone band wagon. I never really expected any more from sprint, their phones have always sucked, but Samsung? Samsung has always had good stuff....

Not sure i'd put stock in what an advanced techy says...there job is to help troubleshoot problems, not predict the future...but enjoy your new phone...Oh, but since your switching to the iphone, enjoy the almost useless web browsing mostly stuck in an edge network...See, there big plan was 3g...but I guess plans are good for either phone...yep, you'll get plenty of apps, assuming you can keep the phone on long enough to enjoy them without your phone freezing up on you...And that amazingly smaller keyboard i'm sure you'll enjoy so well...Yeah, guess I'll keep my worthless phone, with that g-mail that works flawless along with my yahoo and hotmail and wait for my silly fixes, while saving over 900$ over the cost of your new iphone over a two year period...Good luck, wouldn't want you to go without being informed...

Enjoy...In time, I'm sure you'll be one of the loyal iphone defenders such as one's posted here...for my entertainment of course...

And a perfect quote in the whole article sums it up:
"Apple’s fans play down negative information to explain their relationship to the brand — and justify spending more for products that may not be better than the competition’s."
Enjoy your iphone...
