That's funny, cause a lot of people say  call quality is subpar... but i think it's fantastic, so long as I have a decent amount of reception

I hate the fact that there is no file browser, or explorer. It would be SOOOOOO nice if i could go to one screen to navigate all  the files on the phone.

I also have terrible quality with TV and videos. i get a very pixelated green screen, and most of the time the image just freezes, and i end up looking at a still picture with the video's sound for the whole clip.

voice quality on mine is pretty damn good.

You do have a file browser.  Go to the email home page, and at the bottom hit the "browse files" button.

well i'll be damned.

on another note... anyone else have issues sending pics to multiple people ? i select 4 or 5 pictures from the phone and send them to a bunch of people, and they never get them, but if i send them one at a time it works fine.

well 4 or 5 of them would be alot of data to send at once for a phone. As far as the the pixelation and green screen on your tv goes, you can rid yourself of such nuances by performing a few tricks. Go here and read about them and if you feel comfortable enough doing them then your TV will work as it should....

You will need your MSL. You can find out how to get that with a search of this forum, i gave you the first one so you can find this one yourself.  Feel free to message me with any questions and if I can help i will or at least point ya in the right direction.

i agree.. with just about everything that was said but i'd like to add my own two cents;

when you record a video and try to play it or edit it on your computer, the format poses quite a problem. its in an .3g2 format, which i understand is common, but it would be convenient if it was in .avi or .mpg or something, especially for use on a windows computer. i had to download itunes and the video playback program (i cant remember the name) that came with it just to watch it.

Lots of video programs can play that format, not just itunes.

VLC Media Player, for example, plays evetything...and it's free.

yeah.. and i understand that, but say, if i wanted to edit my videos with windows movie maker or something, i would have to convert first. i just think its a minor inconvenience. the video quality of something you record is phenomenal using this phone though.

well 4 or 5 of them would be alot of data to send at once for a phone.

well i get picture messages from other people all the time that have sometimes up to 8 pictures embedded... granted, i don't know what the image size, etc are, but seems like it should not have THAT much problem sending a couple. sending more than one pic at a time has never worked for me.

and i've read all about hacking your phone to fix the green video, but seriously.... should i have to essentially mod my phone for it to work as advertised ? don't get me wrong, i love this phone, but sometimes little things about it make me nuts. If it weren't for the fact that i get a 25% monthly discount on service from sprint through my job, i would have probably bought an iphone ... a $50 / month service for unlimited data and text from sprint is hard to give up compared to probably nearly twice that for comparable iphone service though.

Wait, I missed that, Wow!!!  Hey, Kudos to you....you wrote the whole post from your phone...nice Cheesy

Aside from all the typos we had to endure reading it (I think he types too fast and the Instinct may be delaying his input so that he has more time to look for typos), I think creating a long post like that on the Instinct is a damn risky thing to do.  First, the browser is buggy as hell so errors are the norm, and second all you have to do is hit "delete" and hold it for a fragment of a second too long and POOF every character before your cursor is erased and gone forever.

How far into your contract are you.......you have 30 days from purchase to change your mind and go with a different phone .

I'm too far into my contract to get it replaced.  Some of my biggest gripes are the limitations placed upon the Calendar and Notes.  With the calendar you get 60 whopping items and the Notes feature gives you 9.  It took more than 30 days to stumble into those ridiculous limitations.  I think a little personal calculator/computer device that I got in 1990 could hold more information that that.
