Free APPS

Well I think it's a great way to do things.

This way as a comsumer I get to try it for free, Let them know what Needs to be fixed for me. If it is not then I don't have anything invested but some time. If I like it them I pay them a small amount for a product that's worth haviong.

I think it's a win -win for all. It beats what Sprint does  Pay me know and I will see if I can get it to work . Oh and wen I do I wll take some of it away even though you are paying for it ( Think TV).

I'm bookmarking this post, as i have a feeling this will get interesting.  To me this issue is kind of a double edged sword... on one side i think, yes... if i took the time to actually develop an app, and test it, troubleshoot it, all while holding a normal everyday job, I would more than likely try to get something out of all the work i put into it.  Whether it was extra cash, or donations, or even the feeling of satisfaction of knowing my apps were making peoples lives easier and more entertaining... but on the other side, i feel as if by making my app's free, i would actually maybe be further ahead.... for one thing, depending on the app's quality, more people than not would probably use it/want it. And for me that would be great publicity...  Secondly, if we all made free app's to share, this phone's popularity would flourish, which would be good for sprint as well as the individual app developer.  Now obviously, free does not pay bills... and sometimes a mere "thanks for the good work" just doesn't do justice to the work done...  I just think some dev's are more interested in monetary compensation, and other's the personal gratification of knowing that they are samsung instinct "household name".  But, the choice is up to the individual, as they earned it...  Thanks again dev's! My instinct is more enjoyable now than ever!

Plus another thing to remember is that I feel they have been very upfront.

They first asked if we would be willing to Pay for Apps, They gave some free and others stated they would have an End date in Beta form and then determine if a Pay App would come from it.

I donated to KB early on but I think most others did not and that's the choice you have. Some of the Apps I am more then willing to pay for others were fun while they lasted but not something I would pay for so it just got erased.
