Please Help. I have a 4G card with 2G of music and 1.6G of Movie files plus some pics. When I got a new 8G card for my phone I filled it up and my phone worked fine until I purchased a song from the Sprint store onto my phone. I had purchased many songs from my phone before with no problem but this time after completing the download my card was wiped clean of all music, movies and pics. I called Sprint and 4 days, 6 calls, and two trips to return what I and Sprint customer service thought was a bad SD card problem came to no resolution. I requested a new phone from Sprint and when I got it in I started all over again. The new phone dose not work with the 8G card. I thought the Instinct supports up to 16G.

WTF Angry

Dose any one have any advice to offer? What am I doing wrong?

The instinct(M800/S30) supports up to an 8GB card. altho there are reports that the instinct only reads a certain number of songs. on to your problem....
when you plug your phone into a USB port and open the card in My computer there is nothing on your card at all?  (just to make sure i am understanding your problem)

you might want to copy everything over to your computer and reformat the sdcard. then try the web sync without putting anything on the card. if that works then add the rest of your mp3's.

I'll try that next. Should I be able to switch off between two cards with no problem?

I'm on my second card. Is the Instinct specific to any brand or type of card?

For anyone with the same issue, here's my 2 cents:

I used to own a Samsung SPH-M510.  Though it supported up to a 2G card, it didn't play nice with certain brands if over 1G (e.g. Kingston), FWIW.
