I have had the instinct for almost a year now and all in all, I am quite happy with it.

The browser sucks, but opera mini is great so a non-issue.
Visual Voicemail is a great feature.  I hate calling into voicemail.
The Navigation works better than I was expecting.
I really like that the keyboard can be put in "portrait" mode since I prefer 1 hand typing.

All in all, I must say I have been quite pleased with the Instinct.  I figured I would be considering the Pre now that it is out, but man that keyboard is tiny and impossible to 1 hand type.  I think I'm staying with the instinct. Cheesy

I feel the same way. I want pandora back but I cant see giving up my Instinct for a pre.
The trade offs are too much.
High hopes for the Instinct 2

Glad to hear that I'm not the only guy out there that likes his phone!  LOL

I keep phones for a long time and I'm happy with a phone that is more than capable of doing almost anything!  Come one, tell me that Live Search didn't blow your mind when you got your instinct!!!

This beautiful Baby will be riding my hip for the next 3 to 5 years!   Cheesy

I also like my Instinct...don't love it..but I like it.  I did look at the PRE and could not type on it the way I like.  The TREO was the best phone I ever had for typing (BB is also very good).

The Instinct has a lot of great features and is simple, which I do love.  I also like that its durable and doesnt have any pieces that break off or fall of with rough use.  I'm very rough with my gadgets and dropped this pone many times...never had a problem.  The screen is scuffed, chipped, and scratched, still no problems.

Certainly the phone is not perfect, and has many inefficiencies.  Providing a Sports button, that does not allow for me to choose which sports I want to see is a waste.

Anyway, I will not be buying a PRE, but if the new update on the iPhone makes it more business friendly and allows for better typing, I may switch to that.

...yeah, I mean because for the large part, this phone has mechanically been pretty flawless!  Sure, we wish we could do more with the 0's & 1's but I mean I think that Samsung hit this one for a first go around on a touch phone.

Pandora works again. I lost it for a bit with the new update but the problem was fixed quickly.

yep, been with this phone from near day one, its the best phone I've ever had.  is it the absolute best phone out there?  maybe not.  is it the best phone out there for the price paid?  absolutely.  I mean, I ended up paying $25 after all was said and done.

Previous phones:  Samsung X105 (T-Mobile), Samsung A820 (Sprint), Samsung A920 (Sprint), and now the instinct.  its not my fault I'm partial to Samsung, they make quality products...

as per the instinct specifically?  its been near flawless.  I had a problem of when I used a 3.5mm jack to listen to music and got stuck in headset mode, but I got that fixed.  do I get frustrated when something isn't quite working right?  sure, its typically I have network connection problems (don't know if sprint or phone) and when I reset the phone it works just fine.  it takes <1 minute to reset the phone.  the problem is we live in a "now" society, even 30 second waits drive people crazy; the irony is that these same people can spend countless hours watching TV (reruns or not) and commercials, yet 30 seconds on a phone to get something done drives them insane.
