I've really enjoyed this phone, even with it's querks, and would recommend it to just about anybody I know. It's kind saddening that I'll be getting rid of it now, but after the beatings it's taken it's starting to die down, camera is dead, battery's are starting to fail, and it's running slower and slower every day. Still it had a great run but it's time to move on, so I now say goodbye to the Instinct Cry it's been fun, and I'll be saying hello to the Moment Grin.

Let us know how the moment is.  I am completely happy with my Instinct, but I have been considering the Moment or the Hero when i get my tax return.

Good luck!  When it's time, it's time.  There's always a forum waiting for you.  Please don't come back raving about your new phone though. Wink  Remember, this is THE instinct forum.

erm my point of view is that android phones are confusing and the hero's virtual keyboard sucks and the moments keyboard is weird because it wraps letters around the space bar.

o btw i dont have an instinct yet :/ gonna get one in march

The keyboard is actually pretty easy to get used to. As for getting the Instinct now just remember since it's been out over a year there's not alot that's going to happen with it. At least with Android it's ever changing so there's always something new. Just my thoughts.

Hehe I'm still around a little bit cause my mom still has her Instinct so I can keep it up to date at least.

Hey... I just got my Instinct HD, switching from a Blackberry Curve 8330 - I did this for the camera (which SUCKS hugely on the BB). BUT... I have not activated my phone yet b/c I'm trying to figure out if I like it - and, have considered the Moment. I would LOVE to hear feedback on both, *especially* if you (or anyone) has experience with a blackberry.

My negatives with the Instinct are... Texting (coming from a BB, it is SOO much slower on a touch screen - and I text/email a LOT)... and the calendar - there seems to be no week-view - and the issue with repeating events is weird - and I actually like to *type* the time, vs. using the "slot machine" readout method... Not being able to hide icons I don't use as I can on the BB...

Sorry I'm wandering off track. But - I'd really love to hear how one feels going from this phone to the Moment!

Thx Cheesy

Welcome and I'm not sure what your looking for in the Instinct HD, but maybe I can help clear up a couple things for you.
Calander - set up your gmail cal from a computer and have it set to alert to your phone. The gmail cal also has daily, weekly, or monthly view and all your upcoming event will be displayed ahead of time ( set your main menu up in a list view like the favorites section is set  up )
Texting...takes some getting used to, for better results flip your phone to landscape view ( on it's side )
gets easier with time, as with any phone.
This phone will lag for a bit whenever exiting the web, but it doesn't last long.
Camera...Video recording...hdmi out for movies on a hdtv...3 of my favorite things Smiley

Thanks... As for the calendar - I would prefer not to have to edit at a desk & sync with my phone... One of my fave things is being able to directly enter appointments when I am on the go - and I *never* sync with any calendar (online or otherwise) - so, I guess I'd have to get used to that.

But yeah - the camera is a HUGE thing. I guess that's the bonus with this phone.

don't care so much about lag time when switching between apps... but the texting feedback is helpful. thanks! Smiley
