Just purchased Ipod Touch 2G (the new touch).  I got the 16 GB version of it, and it's an excellent investment.  I now have an awesome phone (Samsung Instinct) and the Touch.  I use the phone for Navigation, it helped me get to a location yesterday with flying colors and I also use it for NFL Live and browsing the Web (which in my opinion is better than the ipod Touch WiFi browser.  Anyways at work everyone is jealous of my Instinct because not only am I the only one who has it, but It has so many more features.

P.S. - The New Update kicked butt, and i'm hopeful for the next one.

Glad to hear about your Instinct and it's uses.I concur, the Instinct is an exceptional device. The GPS on it is on par with stand alone units and I 'm really glad to have it.It's saved me the time of having to Google Map this place or that and saves paper.I eagerly await the next update.Santa?...are you reading this?....please make it an early Xmas for all of us.

I got me an iPod Touch 32 GB when it came out.  I was sick and tired of the Instinct's problems with certain things I need/use on a daily basis.  It's the best of both worlds.  Like you, I rely heavily on the Instinct excellent Navigation, phone and Live Search.  The iPod handles my calendar, contacts, Pandora radio, music/audio books and other fun stuff (until the Instinct has some extra apps).

This weekend I also learned how to get my Instinct to work as a modem and even created a wi-fi network with it.  The beauty of it all was that I could even detect the Instinct wi-fi set-up with the iPod.  It worked -- if I ever need that.

See the Instinct is truly an amazing device...IMAGINE IT'S FULL POTENTIAL!  Imagine if the Administrator of this website (StormyGal) was from the future...I still think she's a time traveler..

Ooooo...  This sounds like a part of the plot of "Fringe."

Anyway, about the wi-fi thing, the instructions I got were for a Mac.  The guy posted in another forum.  He said he's still trying to figure out how to do it on a PC.  If you're a Mac user, I can email you the PDF with the complete instructions.

metalborn, you kill me hahaha Tongue

Unsure of software/hack on the PC side at the moment, BUT there was a device I'd found that I shared with Egidio previously:

http://www.cradlepoint.com/ctr350/ctr350.php

I still haven't ruled out getting that AND a Touch.

Now that's a ticket I could support, but Stormygal would have to see more than Russia from her window.  Smiley

OK, so did anyone tried to use their Instinct with CradlePoint device and see if it actually works? I have iPod touch 2G and need that wireless point when away from home or starbucks Smiley The Instinct is not listed as supported device on the CradlePoint site, but wondering if anyone actually tried to get it to work.
