Consumer Reports: Instinct among the top 100 products

Not bad for a phone that's nearly 3 months old. The Instinct made the Top 100 Products on the November 2008 issue of Consumer Reports. There were only 4 phones listed, and the Instinct was mentioned for its capability of using speech to action. The other 3 phones were: LG Dare, Motorola Rokr E8 and the iPhone 3G.

Hooray for the Instinct!

Funny how the iPhone 3G is Wired's biggest letdown but one of the top 100 products. I guess they are not mutually exclusive. Still just goes to show you the subjectivity of these things.

Oh yeah, a lot of subjectivity. CR only had a short paragraph about each phone. To isolate speech to action was interesting to me. It is a great feature nevertheless.

Speech to action is definitely awesome!! When it literally occured to me that I will hardly need a phone book anymore I was floored.

That and Live Search. Gosh, I love that feature. Sometimes I use some obscure search just to test the phone. And to think it's a Microsoft product is even more amazing that it works so well. LOL

Great to know. i love positive posts about the phone and it being recongized as being a great feature filled thrill ride that is the instinct.
