hi,
I've followed the steps and can launch jars now. however, so far the only one "working" is opera mini (without the keyboard). for anything else, like simple games, calculators, email clients, note takers, gimmicks, whatever, they just crash when I try to click on anything in them. I can usually get to their title screen and main menu, but after that there is no interactivity and I have to go back to the home screen.

any ideas?

are these the only changes to the telus policy? I might have deleted my original on accident!?

CAUTION!!! You must do the following before connecting your phone to the USB port and running BitPIM. If you do not heed the warning, I guarantee you will lose all of your Calendar and contacts as the phone will reset itself!

Before connecting your phone to the USB port use the dialer to dial ##872# this will put your phone in default MSC mode you must click the dialer again and dial ##872# again and this will put your phone in MDM mode this is the only mode that will work with BitPIM. If you do not do this or forget to do this step, hopefully you have a backup of the filesystem as the phone automatically defaults to MSC mode and bitpim tries to connect which puts the phone into a continuous loop of reset, reboot, etc... until it is disconnected. The good thing is that you do not brick the phone but all your contents are now gone!

When plugged my phone in to the computer it automatically started charging and bitpim said no phone detected/recongnized run setting?  is there a reason why this might have occured ?
