Looks like there might be a firmware update today,

A new directory just suddenly appeared in my instinct

brew->mod->omadm->tree

Inside are:

tree.dat
dm_fwupdate.dat
dm_dmacc.dat
dm_devinfo.dat
dm_con.dat
dm_cdma.dat

No idea if it's installed, or how to install it, not even 100% sure it's a fw update... Just appeared today though

Interesting. I'll check my phone too and see if it's there. Now, you're positive this wasn't there before?

It's not on my phone either. I wonder if it's not showing up because I edited the _telus_policy.txt file.

S: ES.M800 BG26
H: M800.08
Obigo: Q05A1-3.12

No change from when I got it :s

Positive it wasn't there though, I did a full backup just a couple days ago (after editing in ringtones) and it's not in my full backup, nor do I remember seeing it yesterday night.

Like I said not 100% sure it's a update, but darn looks like it, the contents of dm_fwupdate.dat have lines in it such as "Download and update" and pointers to getting and replacing data.

I'm in the process of re-editing it.  Smiley

**EDIT** I successfully restored my phone back to normal by replacing the edited _telus_policy.txt with the original copy. I rebooted my phone, opened up the file structure with bitpim and checked it out. No dice. There's no 'tree' section. It's set up as follows;

brew -> mod -> omadm

It ends there. There's just the file 'omadm_cfg.dat' in the 'omadm' folder.

There are just two things that I can think of,

One being that I've turned on and off my phone probably 2 dozen times today, either from locking it up playing with ## codes or from holding the lock button down too long and turning it off instead of unlocking it.

The other was that yesterday (Between my full backup, and checking today) I reprogrammed my phone after I totaled my browser (Editing gateway information unintentionally by deleting the last digit by mistake) and had to *22803 to reactivate my phone (restores most of the settings, without losing files like a factory reset does).

I'm 60% sure the files weren't there after the reactivation, and 75% sure that it's not the sole cause if it was, since that's about the 3rd time I've done it, and it didn't appear after the other 2 times.

Either maybe I lucked out, and restarted the phone and got a OTA update prep before it was turned off, or the last activate laid some groundwork for a update
