But England is a postage stamp to cover compared to the USA so comparison is a littel unfair.    I spent twice as much on contract phones when I lived in the UK compared to here so these prices are confusing me.

I was on Vodafone for about 8 years.

the numbers are straight off the two websites.  Don't know, just thought it was interesting.  And although you are right about the land area, the fixed infrastructure costs are also split fewer ways on to fewer contracts.  Point being, it doesn't explain the huge differences under some of those plans.

The size of England compared to the US,   most states in the US take more covering than England does.
