Yeah I bet. You probably get plenty of signal though. To be able to get more than a bar, two if I'm lucky, I have to go twenty, sometimes thirty miles away.

Does anyone have a link to the forum about how to change which service tower you send and receive from?

Hey man, just turn your phone on roam and you should be albe to pick up someone's tower; at&t, Verison, t-mobile...

You can't change specific towers.  The only thing you can do is make sure you have the latest prl update and hope for the best.

And unfortunately, the Instinct doesn't have a "force roaming" option.  It'll cling to a sprint signal till the bitter end.

yes you can set the phone to "Automatic", "1X only" or "Home Only"
but what -Z- is saying is that even if there is a verizon or at&t tower that has a better signal close by it will stick with the one bar of sprint signal until your completely out of range of it.

My phone is running on Cricket.
I do not pay for 3G,
I run the basic unlimited internet.

I always have 2 arrows, or 3G.

I have been told that the only difference with Cricket 3G service is that it allows for larger data packets to be sent.
EX. - YouTube, and Flash video will play on the phone.

Anyone know about this?
