when i receive a picture mail message and would like to download the pic, i click on the save button on the right of the screen, i get the confirmation that it was downloaded but cannot find where it was saved to.

what is interesting tho, is that i am able to use the pics for use in my contact list.

Any insight as to where to the pic files may be hiding? or is there a way to change the save directory?
Are these pics saved to the phone memory or to the storage card?

Thanks

They are saved on the SD card in the dcim folder.  You can access them with your saved pictures from your camera

I keep getting an error message when I try to send pics. The error message reads "there was an error trying to register your phone." What do I need to do to resolve this problem?

I am having a major problem receiving and sending picture and video mail.  I am able to send and receive to other Sprint customers; however, with other carriers, it is hit and miss.  Have been on phone with sprint forever about this.  There answer was that the resolution was too high on the Instinct, and there is no way to turn it down;therefore they told me to send it via email.  That didn't work either.  Is anyone else experiencing this problem.  If you have a solution, please help.  The "advanced" tech people at Sprint haven't been much help.  Thanks!

I am having this problem as well. I was thinking that the resolution thing might be the problem, but I wasn't sure. Sometimes my pictures do go through... This is very annoying and makes me want to switch to Verizon. But, I wonder, if it is a problem with resolution do all high end camera phones have this problem?

Wait, what?

Because your phone is too good for older phones with video mail you want to switch providers?

Is it really worth the termination fee?

Yes im having this issue too, and hopefully it will get resolved, but there is no reason to switch carriers. And the only carrier i cant send to is Verizon because my friends with verizon never get my pictures and i dont get theres, but my friends on ATT and tmobile get the pictures.

I just switched from the Mogul to the Instinct.  I was very exited thinking that this phone would let us get real picture mail like everyone else.  We at first it still sent a link accessing sprints picture mail site.  Then you have no option of saving the photo.  But then all the sudden I started getting direct pictures under the messaging icon then picture icon.  I have had pictures come in both ways from the same person.

Does anyone know what is causing this?  I am able to save the direct pics and review, send, and mark as contacts.

I will be talking to Sprint about this one to see what is going on.

That's strange....  Is the person you're receiving photos from also from Sprint?  My GF sends me tons of photos and not once has it gone into the text messaging, but they have all landed in the Main->Messaging->Picture area.  I'm wondering if the person who's sending you photos is not in the same network, if that might cause a problem... IDK....

It is verizon customers.  I get some in the main/messaging/picture area.  But then today one came through sprints website picture mail.

I have yet to get ahold of customer service to see what they have to say.
