I've always had intermittent issues with the Yahoo mail client downloading my email. Usually, deleting and re-adding will fix it.  Since last week, I have not been able to download email using the Yahoo client.
I'm curious if anyone else is having this issue?
I've tried everything; resetting the email application, resetting the phone, etc.

Are you getting the s7122? If so, its most likely timing out when downloading your first 25 emails. Check for large attachments and move them to another folder other than the inbox (the first 25). Also, I've noticed some yahoo emails with attachments display this error message when trying to view them in a web browser:

We're sorry, but there appears to be a problem loading the message.

Try clicking on any attachments in your inbox and see if this message appears. If it does, delete it or move it to another folder. That message will cause the email client on the device to fail as well.

Try the above and let me know how it goes for you.

I also did want to mention there is an email specific part of the forum that you might find faster responses in.... well, that's at least the place I check the most:

I do not get any error messages, I do not get any email, period.  It has worked, sporadically, but about 8 days ago it quit working. I've deleted and re added the account, reset all the email, reset the phone, and sprint adv tech support is supposed to be looking into, but I haven't heard for over 3 days. Ditto from yahoo support.
I know the phone attempts to download mail, b/c I often cannot login via the internet due to error code 5, which indicates another instance is logged in. I've had to turn off auto update on the yahoo client so I can log into yahoo mail from the internet.

I went ahead and moved a few old emails from my inbox that had attachments, and the inbox downloaded right away.  I'm not sure I understand why this occurred b/c these emails, with attachments, have been in my inbox for months.....
Thanks for your suggestion

Are you a contractor? I believe I was the one working on your issue. Which is why I recommended you move those large attachments.

There is a timeout of 45 seconds to download your inbox. If it fails to download in that time it will drop you in an inbox that is emtpy on your device, with no error message.

Also, check your private message.

Why doesn't my Exchange hang up? The inbox is loaded with attachments, but I've never had problems with it.
I've had sporadic issues with Yahoo ever since I got the phone, about six months. Usually, though it would resolve if I deleted and re-added the account.
This time, however, nothing worked until I moved emails with attachments per your suggested.

Thanks again
