How do I get videos from my instinct to my pc to play on windows media player

i got the video from the phone to the pc after i recorded it on the phone, but how do i get it to play on windows media player, it says it doesnt play that file extensions, mgpp2. or how do i change the file type.

Just use QuickTime player.
