Google calendar sync?

I've set up my Instinct s30 and my gmail account as specified. I can choose my gmail calendar in both the email and the calendar menus, but the calendar does not show any events. I have updated everything under the sun. My calendar settings are set to get the next 12 weeks and the past 2 weeks, but still no calendar events. Instead, I get the following message: "This date is outside your current sync window with the server."  What am I missing?
 
Also, at the bottom of calendar settings it says "Events are automatically synced for: Wed, Jan 28 - Sat, Mar 29." What does this mean and is it the problem?? Can it be changed???
