More than 7 million iPhones have sold across the globe, but its $199 price tag and AT&T's pricey rate plans are too rich for some consumers. Samsung's Instinct, priced at $129.99, has many of the same features as the iPhone 3G, and Sprint-Nextel's data plans are much cheaper.

That's good to hear since the iPhone controls almost 40% of the smart phone market, second only to thr Blackberry.

Let's hope people who buy the Instinct think it's a good choice.
