So I watched all the videos on youtube buy phonedog.com with the on hands review of the instinct, I have been  EXTREMELY  EXCITED about this phone FINALLY something to compete with my brothers Iphone on a good network. After watching the videos im EXTREMELY   disappointed. :-( anyone else have thoughts about the review?Huh?

I saw the reviews...  I was a little discouraged..

HE did review it before it officially went, "live" so hopefully some of the problems with network speeds will be worked out.  As far as the missing of the IM client, with java, I have to believe there will soon be something developed.

I am still getting it.

the java was not so bad to me but the fact that its not really a full web browser, and it bogging down while trying to view your pics if you have a decent amount on the phone, it just being kind of slow in general. I wouldn't be so discouraged if the review was from some one who was a die hard IPHONE guy be he has seemed excited about the phone from the beginning.

Good and honest review.. It didn't discourage me at all.. I'm still going to get it and it seems that the biggest thing that sprint focused on was the web browser (speed/ some java/ html) can't wait..

Remember this phone isn't even out yet.. It will speed up..

but in his review he said that the web browser on the windows mobile devices and the iphone are way better, I hope thats just cause he got it so soon and everything on the network wasnt ready. but Im not sure how they will speed up the operation of the phone as far as viewing the pics on the memory card???

Could be the MicroSD card that comes with it is sorta cheap,  you can always buy one with a higher transfer rate and see what happens (which is what I'm going to do).  It will be slower than the Iphone no matter what because the memory isn't internal, and you never know, it my only load like that the first time you pull from the memory card, then it loads faster until you turn the phone off.  Perhaps if it doesn't a software update will direct the phone to keep them in memory, sometime in the future.

I feel that was a good review...  Keep in mind Sprint is still ramping and tweaking the network for this launch.  So expect speeds and quality to improve over a short amount of time.  I still don't like comparing it to the iphone, phones are going touch screen. HTC Touch was actually out first......  The Iphone is just a very nice (well built) toy, and of course marketing marketing marketing!!!
