Yes it's real.  You need to ask yourself whether or not you need that big of a battery.  That thing is huge!

Lookin at it so fast I didn't realize it was bigger in "size". So are all the extended life batteries "HUGE". And in a sense not needed?

I think I have seen one in the wild that was higher capacity than the stock batteries, but the dimensions were the same.  I can't remember where it was,(one of those cellphone accesories places) but since we have 2 batteries I didn't really pay much attention to it.

Having 2 batteries is awsome. Being able to use one in the phone and charge the other at the same time is totally awsome. Even without the 2nd battery, I personally wouldn't need a longer life battery than the phone comes with, it lasts 2 days or more with moderate use as it is.

Mine and my wife's spare batteries are still in the box untouched,  with a home charger,  a car charger and a usb link cable charger I cannot forsee anywhere I will be in the next 12 months where I would need 2 batteries.

A larger size battery would certainly spoil the whole feel of the phone.

Glad I am not the only one that burns batteries.  I have three in my rotation.  They all make a few runs through the rotation during the week.

In fact, I have changed the batteries out so much that I can do it in the dark.  In the light, I feel like "The Waco Kid"... Grin

It's a little cheap imho.

As -Z-, sez, it's real. I just saw yesterday on co-worker's Moto Q9. I ask him and he sez it works for him. Of course, as has been stated, you do loose the "slimness" of the phone.

You guys are lucky, up here in Canada the providers only gave us the phone, 1 battery, 1 stylus and headphones.  Nothing else.  Pain in the ass, and massive rip off.
