Hi,
since we didn't get a CD with the phone, where should I get the USB driver?  I tried Bell's website, Samsung's and Sprint's.  Couldn't find it.  Anyone had more luck?

Thanks

Frank

Is you phone not being detected when you connect the cable via USB and then go to Settings>General>Connect to PC on your phone?

HI again,
I finaly got the phone detected as a mass storage unit.  Now the problem is that in order to get the phone unlocked I need the driver for Samsung CDMA technologies.

  where can I find that?

ninjapimp, if ya would like to test something I would be glad to zip up the driver installer for the instinct that we got, and email it to you.  If it works then well maybe we can go from there.  Send me a private message if you want to test it.

There are 2 ways to connect your Instinct to the computer.

1.   As a CDMA device. This will require the drivers, available from Sprint. However, this only enables the internal phone file system to be displayed in programs such as Bitpim. It will not show up in the normal Explorer window.

2.  Most commonly, people will want to review the media stored on their phone (music, videos, pictures). In that case, plug the USB cable into both the Instinct and the computer. Once that is done, ignore what your computer says about needing a driver, etc. On the Instinct, go to "Home-Settings-General" and push the selector for "Connect to PC" to "On" (ie make it green). Your computer will then detect the Instinct as a USB storage device and you will have access to the contents of the media card.

Connect to PC is NOT on the US version, only the Canadian versions.

If you are a Sprint user pop in the cd that came with your phone, install the drivers, then close it out. Don't install Media Manager (it's a joke)

It seems that a LOT of people are asking for the drivers...I'll post them in a bit.
