Jackel.  I have the instinct through Sasktel and got the phone reset.  The 'phone info' reboot problem was fixed but that was it.  The handmark apps worked only once with one of the applications then everytime after that there was an error.  So unfortunately the reset option doesn't work through Sasktel. Sad

Jackel: I luckily didn't get the instinct with sasktel yet (i am do for an upgrade!!)...it was my friends phone...i tried to do the US update, then the canadian update, but it didn't work. i guess it only works for bell phones. then i did a power cycle, tried again, no luck, then pulled out the battery, still no luck...the only way left is doing a full software reset..but since it wasn't my phone and my friend had photos and contacts he didn't want to lose, we didn't do that. His web still works, but no other applications.

Do you know of any other way to save contacts??? i really wish they would do an outlook sync thing...life would be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!

Sprint has some software for the instinct, but I can't get it to work on my computer through Sasktel.  Maybe your buddy could, but I don't think it's possible.  To save the contacts, jsut go back to the Jump store you bought your phone from.  They have a piece of hardware there that will do it, but like I said I did the reboot and didn't come ahead any other than 'Settings' -> 'General' -> 'Phone Information' not making my phone reboot.  It's not worth the time/effort.

JUST KIDDING! I hear bell is catching up with some technology though...something like a sim??

Awesome! Thanks.

It still annoys me, as a Canadian, that there's friggin NCAA Womens B-ball in the sports scoreboards, but we can't get the CFL.

Bastards at bell have made it so it is a proxy error when you try to reach the damn sprint store.  I am so going to create a sewage storm for these con artists it is going to make their heads spin.

Bell Canada.. prepare to meet your worst nightmare.

All my Pocket Express apps were crapping out almost immediately upon starting.  This 3 minute process completely fixed the problem.  Woo hoo!  Thank you!

Yah I got this text from Sasktel about the update.  It worked......then I tried the movies app and it froze up again Sad  I'll try reloading AGAIN but this is getting ridiculous.

You mean all I had to do was pull the battery out for a second... haha Worked for me. I should have checked back here sooner than today.
Thanks to everyone working to fix the things BELL refuses to acknowledge.

Anybody know how to downgrade pocket express without performing a hard reset?  Ever since I got 1.1.12, certain sites that I visit no longer display info I once saw.  Is there a link I can follow to download the original factory delivered Pocket Express?  Please help, I need my hockey pool updates.

this link worked (well at least it downloaded something)

http://www.handmark.com/downloads/2483/SamsungM800EX.jad

but it didn't fix anything... i still have no tap to add button in the "Fun" menu and no facebook or myspace apps (which i used to have)...

Any useful advice?

Thanks!!  Cool

for those of you looking to do a contact's back up, the only way i have figured out how to do it is with bluetooth and microsoft Outlook this way

for those of you using microsoft outlook and have bluetooth on your computer there is a much easier way to back up and import your contacts on your phone.

what you do is open MS Outlook and pair your phone with your computer via bluetooth. once paired you will go to settings, bluetooth, trusted devices, send contacts, send all contacts. it will send all your contacts to the contact folder of MS Outlook.

To send the contacts from your computer to your phone you simply select the contact(s) that you want to send from the contacts tab in MS Outlook. Go to file, send to bluetooth and select your phone. your phone will then have a pop up asking if you would like to recieve contact(s) from said trusted device. accept and it will transfer all the selected contacts to your phone. i am working on a way to do this via the usb cable but so far it seems to be a little trickier

and as far as the pocket express update goes, my brother works for bell and he told me to give him my phone, went to some site and downloaded a new app and bam my pocket express now works but the little bugger won't tell me what the site is. grrr
