I found a way to fix the crashing Pocket Express app.

First go to the sprint home page with the phone browser : http://softwarestore.sprint.com/m800/ and click the yellow banner.
This will install the US version of Pocket express.
Now try to go to the weather and DON'T enter a zip code, just exit, it will say that the phone is not proprely configure and that you can't use the service.
Don't panic !!! Now go to this URL with the phone browser and reinstall the Canadian version :
http://www.handmark.com/downloads/2674/Samsung-M800-EX.jad
It did work for me !!!

Way to take credit for other people's work. Oh well glad it works (ps: I am not referring to myself, but I certainly am not trying to claim credit).

pwagner : I've been working on this problem since yesterday. I tried couple solution that didn't work but I finally got it working by installing the US version and running it so it will clear settings and reinstall the Canadian one.
Of course I am not the one who discovered and posted the US Pocket app link or the Canadian handmark link, and you know solutions are not patented. I am only sharing my discovery and the way I did manage to fix the problem.  I didn't see any post about a solutions for canadian owner so I wanted to share to HELP people, I don't care about credit.
[EDIT] I decided to TAKE CREDIT for the Canadian fix. I did read all post about this problem and it's seem that I am the only one with a solution for CANADIAN phones.

Handmark has developed an updated Pocket Express app and deployed it
to their servers. Point your handset browser to:

http://www.handmark.com/downloads/2483/SamsungM800EX.jad

After 6:00 PM, there will also be a link from the Instinct Web
Hompage (Home - Web - Web). The main banner will be updated
read 'Instinct Software Updates' and that link will point to this
JAD file.

Excellent posts, my friends. When you Sprint'ies updated did your locations change in the Weather app? All my WI ones changed to MN ones...strange, but it's working. Thanks to whomever found out about this (And Jackel for starting this thread).

Hi,
I'm new to the phone and this website. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one having issues. I called Bell (again) about this issue and the guy told me the only way to fix this problem is to reset the phone and lose all my contacts and downloaded items. I told him that's not acceptable and that Sprint seems to have a fix for the US so why doesn't Bell but he wasn't listening to me at all. He just kept repeating that I need to have my phone reset until I got so frustrated I hung up.

I tried the fix suggested above but now my apps show "Try again later". Did anyone else get this error? If so, any suggestions.... other than reset my phone. Sigh.

Just to confirm, this works for Bell users. When you load the US version it replaces the corrupt canadian version, then after that you can go to the above mentionned site and re-install the functionning Bell version of pocket express.  It was so much easier and better then resetting my whole phone like the Bell representative wanted me to do! Cheesy  Thanks.
