Hey guys,
Looking around, there was no really go topic on how to get good videos on the Instinct. Well today I had some free time to have some fun and put some music videos/movies on my instinct, so I decided I would share with you all how Im doing it. Enjoy:
Getting youtube videos on Instinct:
1. Download iSquint (free)
2. Using safari, navigate to desired youtube video page
3. Watch video all the way through, or until the whole vid is loaded
4. On the top bar, (file, Edit, View, etc.) Click on "window". Go down to "activity". A little box should come up with your recent activity, scroll all the way down, and near the bottom there should be a link that goes something along the lines of "google vid get cache". Look for the last three words: thats what we want. Double click it, and the youtube video will begin to install on your computer.
5. Go to downloads folder, find the recently downloaded video, and drag and drop it to iSquint.
6. Check the optimize for iPod box, and click start encoding.
7. The new refortmatted vid will be in your downloads folder next to the old unformatted one. Drag and drop new video into iTunes.
8. Click on bluetooth at the top of the toolbar, and click "send file"
9. Select iTunes, then movies, then click on the one you want sent and send it. Easy as that.
DVD-Itunes-Phone/iPod
1. Download Handbrake (free)
2.
http://www.methodshop.com/gadgets/tutorials/handbrake/index.shtml (instructions for the use of handbrake)
3. Follow the last steps in the youtube tutorial to put it onto your phone.
Make sure you have time if you are going to do this, just a four minute music vid took 15 mins to put onto my phone.
