Faster PAM for MAC

I have been using my PAM on my iMac, and it works fine. HOWEVER, I am getting incredibly slow speeds. I have 4 bars out of 6 in service in my apartment, and I am not getting the blazing speeds that everyone else seems to be getting. Was there something that I forgot to disable in the debug menu? PLEASE HELP?!?! Thank you!!
