Is anyone else having navigation problems?  Whenever I try to use navigation the screen freezes, 3G download arrow freezes, then phone goes to phone speed dial screen.  I've updated software, data profile, prl, rebooted phone.  nothing works.  HELP!

Relocating this over to the GPS thread.

Do you recall what you last did before it stopped working? Have you done any modifications or tweaks recently?

I am also having problems with "Navigation".  It was working fine yesterday on my drive to Las Vegas, NV but once I got into Las Vegas and needed directions it stopped working.  After I tap on the icon navigation comes up then the screen goes blank and nothing works.  I've removed the battery several times in hopes of resetting the darn thing but still nothing works.

This is what I ended up doing to fix it.  I went to Live Search, searched for a business, then clicked the "Car" icon to start navigation.  That cleared it up and it has been working fine since.

Tried this myself, and works fine now. Thanks for the input.

Amazingly, this worked.. For that ONE instance. After it gave me a route to go to the local business i exited out of the application, tried to go to Navigation again and it still locked up.

Maybe a restart after using the Live Search to activate navi???  Does yours still work?

Mine was having problems from time to time a couple of weeks ago.  The Nav and internet were not working at all even after restarting the phone it would not work.
I found if I update the PRL and then reset the phone. It worked.

Afterwards it will say "you must reset the radio".  If it does not need an update it will not help.
But for a couple of weeks I was updating it a couple of times a week.

I think in my case the problems started when I loaded google map and they seemed to go away when I removed google map.

Good luck.

opera mini and the navigations application have nothing to do with one another. my navigation has never failed me except for small glitches here and there.

does installing opera mini void manufactures warranty?
im on my third phone in less than a month. the first one had opera and everything worked perfect but the headphone jack didnt work. the second phone the gps wouldnt move at all when i was. the third ( current ) will follow me but get way off and just work poorly. The sprint store knows about the opera being there and is trying to refuse replacement of the third phone in less than a month.

That's just stupid.  Opera-mini is included on the new s30 instinct, and ask them why installing it voids the warranty.  Let us know what they say.

They are giving you the biggest line of BS i have ever heard. Seeing as how the new S30 comes with opera mini pre installed. just as a thought have you done all of the updates on the phone. i know it sounds stupid, but i have done it. the GPS on our phone relys on both good celular signal and good GPS signal. so if the area you live in has bad cell reception your GPS will follow suit. Hope im able to help.
just as an FYI my GPS programs version  is 2.1.0.25and the firmware is CA10
good luck
