instinct navigation folders - help!

I was going over the my favorites menu within the sprint navigation (not the my favorites on the main menu). I was adding a few folders to keep track of the addresses (you click the category and push the '+' to add a new one).
The problem is, I don't know how to delete the folders once I have created them. I tried the trashcan delete option, but that just erased the addresses, not the folders. I even tried deleting all favorites, but the folders still remained.
Is there some way to delete the favorites folders within navigation once they've been created?
