Samsung Instinct - Weather not working

The weather app that comes on the phone isn't working for me. I push, it goes to a blank grey screen, then back to the favorites page. Anyone else having problems? Suggestions?

what you'll have to do is back up your contacts (which should be done automatically) and then reset your phone. from that point it should work again and you'll need to update it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but if you read the post above yours you'll see that it's not necessary to reset your phone.

Well I didn't have to reset my phone. I'm sure that works, but I agree with -Z-, hit that link, psycho0272 posted a link you can visit on your phone, to basically reinstall the handmark/pocketexpress stuff. Half the things I love on this phone are tied together and from pocketexpress. The news/movies/weather and so on.

Every since the update that added the ADS on the news, I get the same problem you do, about once every 2 weeks or so. I just reinstall with that link, and it works again. That file is pre-ADS, so you can either "continue" without the ads, or re-upgrade and it'll work for a while.
